CNC Programmer – Casework & Millwork Division   |   Pittsburgh

Rycon Construction, Inc.s commercial casework division is rapidly growing and currently in need of a senior level CNC programmer. This opening requires five (5) or more years experience in a woodworking environment.

Candidates must possess the following requirements:

  • Knowledge in CAD or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and field checks.
  • Understanding of build methods within casework and millwork industry.
  • Cabinet Vision or Alpha Cam knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft OS Proficiency (XP, Vista, 7, 10, 365), Visual Basic (any other programming languages would be a bonus).

Education requirements are as follows:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates in or working towards Computer Science, Computer Aided Drafting, Communication or any other technical degree with a focus on Architecture or Drafting and Design.

The qualified individual will need to have the ability to work independently as well as a team player. This is very fast pace work environment. The individual must be highly motivated with a positive attitude, dependable, flexible and detail oriented. This is a full-time position with working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required and hours may flex in order to facilitate project schedules. This position will be in our Oakdale location. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within an expanding division of a well-established company.

Draftsman – Casework & Millwork Division   |   Pittsburgh

Rycon Construction, Inc.s commercial casework division is rapidly growing and currently in need of a draftsman. This opening requires 3-5 years experience with AutoCAD preparing production drawings in a woodworking, casework, and millwork environment.

Candidates must possess the following requirements:

  • Knowledge in CAD or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and field checks.
  • Understanding of build methods within casework and millwork industry.
  • Able to demonstrate skills in geometry.
  • Cabinet Vision or Alpha Cam knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft OS Proficiency (XP, Vista, 7, 10, 365), Visual Basic (any other programming languages would be a bonus).

Estimator    |   Cleveland

Rycon Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our Cleveland team.

 

The position requires a minimum of five years experience cost estimating commercial construction projects to include new/ground up construction, interior renovation/tenant improvement, and fit-out projects valued to $20 million. The successful candidate must be experienced in quantity take-offs and have the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Prior experience with multiple bid styles is desirable (lump sum, competitive bid, cost plus and negotiated/GMP). Computer skills are required in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) in addition to Microsoft Project. Knowledge of the local Cleveland market is preferred, but not required.

Estimator    |   Ft. Lauderdale

Rycon Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced estimator to join the Ft. Lauderdale team.

 

The position requires a minimum of three (3) years experience cost estimating commercial construction projects to include new/ground up construction, interior renovation/tenant improvement, and fit-out projects valued to $10 million. The successful candidate must be experienced in quantity take-offs, and have the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Office Administrator/Estimating Coordinator   |   Ft. Lauderdale

Rycon Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced office administrator/estimating coordinator to join our Ft. Lauderdale team. The office is located in Sunrise, FL.

Job description:

An immediate full-time position for an office administrator/estimating coordinator. The ideal candidate is expected to work in a fast paced construction environment and will coordinate activities between the accounting and estimating departments. Construction knowledge a must, bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full administrative support and quality office assistance.
  • High level of professionalism and maturity both over the phone and in-person.
  • Assist estimating with bid solicitation, bidder's lists, issuance of bid documents, calling and emailing subcontractors for quotes, qualifications, follow-up calls and other information.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • MS Word, MS Excel, basic computer skills.
  • Professional and pleasant personality with good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, take initiative, and well organized.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently, as well as with a team.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years working in the construction industry required.
  • Administrative/receptionist experience and estimating coordinator exposure.

Project Engineer – Building Group   |   Pittsburgh

Rycon Construction, Inc. is seeking a project engineer to join our Building Group. Rycon's Building Group specializes in the ground up construction and renovation of large projects valued up to $100 million. This opening requires a minimum of two years experience in a commercial construction field paired with a degree in a construction management/engineering/architecture or a related field. LEED AP certification is preferred, but not required.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with project managers and superintendents on the day-to-day operations of construction sites
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Working with submittals, RFI's and RFCO's
  • Assisting in contract buyouts
  • Working with architects, engineers and subcontractors
  • Developing project schedules and phasing plans
  • Attending and documenting project meetings

Project Engineer – Self-Perform Construction   |   Pittsburgh

Rycon Construction, Inc., a premier preconstruction, general contracting, and construction management firm, is seeking an experienced project engineer to join our Self-Perform Construction Group in Pittsburgh. This group specializes in the in-house performance of demolition, concrete, carpentry, drywall, and specialty trades.


The successful candidate will have a degree in Construction Management/Engineering/ Architecture or a similar discipline paired with at least two (2) years of experience in assisting with the management of construction projects.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with project managers and superintendents on the day-to-day operations of construction sites
  • Attending project meetings

Candidates must possess the following requirements::

  • Comprehending and applying construction means and methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and field checks.
  • Understanding of build methods within casework and millwork industry.
  • Experience in managing and negotiating with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Compiling and interpreting project schedules.
  • Estimating experience is a plus, estimating assistance will be required at times.
  • ProjectPak, Planswift, Cabinet Vision, or Alpha Cam knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft OS Proficiency (XP, Vista, 7, 10, 365), Visual Basic (any other programming languages would be a bonus).
  • Presentation skills, marketing, and/or sales experience is a plus.

Rycon Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced project manager to join our Ft. Lauderdale team. This opening requires five (5) or more years experience in managing multiple retail commercial construction projects valued at $5 million and up. A degree in a Construction/Engineering related field is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of south Florida construction market is preferred and bilingual is a plus.

Rycon Construction, Inc. is seeking a senior project manager to join our Special Projects team.

 

This opening requires a minimum of seven (7) years experience managing commercial construction projects preferably in the renovation and fit-out disciplines with values up to $5 million.


Other requirements of the position include, but are not limited to: understanding contracts, negotiating and writing subcontracts, attending project meetings and preparing minutes, review/prepare change order requests, develop/track submittals, develop/track request for information, prepare cost reports, maintain owner relations, marketing skills, presentation skills, computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Project, excellent organizational and communication skills. Staff Accountant – Entry Level   |   Pittsburgh

Rycon Construction Inc., a premier preconstruction, general contracting and construction management firm, is seeking an entry-level staff accountant to join our Pittsburgh team. This is an immediate full-time opening.

The successful candidate will assist in duties required to accomplish general accounting, accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, and accounts payable functions.

This is an entry level position with any prior accounting experience and/or degree preferred, but not required. In addition, the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with COINS would be ideal, but not required. The individual should have knowledge of general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. They must be able to communicate business-to-business collection calls and reconcile customer accounts. The position will require the individual to prepare forms, reports, and correspondence, receive and respond to related mail, phone calls, and other inquires, maintain contacts, and reconcile discrepancies with external parties. In addition, the individual will perform other related duties as required or assigned.
