Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh has been selected to host the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) 2015 Construction Leadership Development Conference at the Westin Convention Center on September 17-19, 2015.

The Master Builders’ Association and the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania will co-host the AGC 2015 Construction Leadership Development Conference, which unites over 300 emerging construction leaders from across the country in various construction sectors to network, learn and share. Some of the highlights from this three-day conference include:

  • Keynote address by Rocky Bleier, a war Veteran, four-time NFL Super Bowl Champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a construction entrepreneur.
  • How to use technology to promote a career in construction.
  • A building tour of Carnegie Mellon University Scott Hall, a complicated 100,000 SF cantilever structure that will be the home of CMU’s nanofabrication, energy and biomedical engineering.
  • An opening reception held at the world’s only convention center with two LEED certifications in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and a closing reception held aboard the Gateway Clipper while enjoying the sights and sounds of Pittsburgh.

“We are excited that Pittsburgh was selected to host this national conference,” said Jack Ramage, Executive Director for the Master Builders’ Association. “Pittsburgh has a proud history and our recent renewal has transformed our region into a strong, diverse economic city.”
