Rycon expands into South Florida

Rycon Construction, a general contractor and construction manager with offices in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Cleveland, today announced Kevin Montez, Simon Rodriguez, and their staff at Acies Construction Group (ACG), based in Ft. Lauderdale, united to become Rycon's newest office location.

Kevin Montez will serve as president of Rycon's Ft. Lauderdale office. With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Montez began his career working as a foreman gaining significant hands-on experience in every aspect of the construction business. He held various positions from field superintendent and project manager to division manager and vice president. Graduating from Florida State University with a dual bachelor in BFA and History, he went on to pursue a Master's in Construction Management from Florida International University. Throughout his career Mr. Montez has personally managed more than $200 million worth of commercial and retail construction and varying types of residential and mixed-use properties.

Executive vice president, Simon Rodriguez, has an extensive background in retail and commercial construction in Florida and Puerto Rico. Mr. Rodriguez's strong expertise in retail, commercial, professional office campus, condo-conversion and tilt-up construction brings added depth to the company. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida International University and brings more than 20 years of construction experience and excellence into the firm.

This strategic alliance will allow Rycon to bring more services to a wider market. The company will continue to offer a full array of general contracting and construction management services focused on retail, multi-unit residential, health care, institutional, financial, light industrial and commercial sectors.
